Amazon Cancels iRobot Deals

Amazon has pulled out of its planned acquisition of Roomba maker iRobot, saying the deal is facing "undue and disproportionate regulatory hurdles." Amazon will pay iRobot a breakup fee of $94 million.

The move came after the European Commission, the EU's executive arm and top antitrust enforcer, said it had an "preliminary view" that the acquisition could hurt competition.
