Please be aware that the dolphins are very fast and it's more a hunt to catch a glimpse, than a relaxing trip nusa penida in which the dolphins play with you. This was my initial thought, but it's very hectic. But it's fun! And to see those animals is pretty amazing. Get your camera ready. Be fast! It was impossible for me to take a photo of them.
Now we were looking for a place to stop for lunch. The switchback road, which had a rock-and-mud wall on one end and nothing on the opposite, eventually led to more harmonious scenery and Git Git. There was a wonderful little restaurant that served Balinese food. We then walked the remaining 10 km to Singaraja. We turned left at Lovina Beach and drove a few more kilometers to our destination for the day.
You'll often find great deals on smaller boutique hotels located in less populated parts of Bali, if you look outside the tourist-dominated areas.
Balangan Beach is a unique Bali beach as it stretches under a cliff and therefore you cannot see it from a horizontal line. Only when you stand on the top of the cliff then you can see the beach and the swelling waves of the great Indian Ocean as well as the unique, tidy lines of several coconut palm trees. This beach is not for everyone. It requires a bit of effort to enjoy the tranquility. You must descend through the hundreds of stone stairs to lay your feet on the light brown sands below. You must have strong lungs if you want to get there.
